"push" and "pull" symbols for diatonic accordion : unexpected effect.
Hello !
I needed the "push" and "pull" symbols in a score for diatonic accordion.
I used the one found in the violin pallet, but they disturbed the playback by adding persistent notes. (That is not true in a violin score.)
Is it a bug ? Is there a solution ?

No, because the Down bow and Up bow articulations are intended strictly for bowed string instruments.

I think so. Instead of using the Down bow and Up bow from the Articulations palette, use the Down bow and Up bow from the Symbols section of the Master palette.
If you play back the attached sample score from rehearsal mark B, you will hear the difference. But if you play back from rehearsal mark A, the entire playback is ruined in spite of the section break before B.

Very weird...
When I extract the .mscx file from the OP's attachment, it plays fine in MuseScore 3. Seems like a MS4 regression.
I also tried the OP's attachment in a nightly build - still persistent notes..

If one clicks on a down bow, the Status bar in MuseScore 4 distinguishes between "Down bow: Down bow" and "Symbol: Down bow".
That same distinction applies to up bow.

Hmm...
Down bow and Up bow are frequently used to specify down/up picking in guitar music.
So, I have tried both scores using guitar. Even with using sustaining sounds like distortion and feedback, no notes are persistent.

Is there a way to find a shortcut for this ? (By adding the symbols to the accordion palette, for instance ?)
