How to group eigth notes by 2 instead of by 4??
I tried to follow this documentation

but I was unsuccesful.
I no want octaves grouped by 4 in 4/4 measures (in this case) but by 2.
how can I do it please? See attachment

Right-click on the timesig and changing the beaming properties

When it says: "Click on a note to break the beam in front of it" I do it. But windows rings a sound. No note is selected

up there? No I was clicking into the score ...
Now I tried after have read you: it works fine.
This shows or how imbecil I am or how not intuitive the documentation is.
