Lyric positions

I compose vocal music, in which recitative occurs often. I believe it is cumbersome every note for each word/syllable be visible in such cases. Currently in MS 3.x & 4.x, if I hide a note, the lyric positions change so that lyrics pile on top of each other between visible notes. Of course I can de-clutter the lyrics, but that is seems like an unnecessary step. See attached "Case of hidden note jumbles lyric positions.mscz"
**I recommend that lyric position stays fixed when hiding or unhiding notes.
Also, adjusting lyric positions is necessary in some cases, where I can avoid ending a piece with one measure on the last page. I must adjust note head and then adjust stem, and then lyric to desired position. In Finale, there is a click and drag function where dragging note also moves lyric.
**I recommend that there is a function to click and drag note and lyrics to desired position.

Looks like you've made both the note and lyric invisible, and that's why the (invisible) lyrics are allowed to collide. Simply make the lyric visible again to get it to space automatically - and to actually print :-).

I'm guessing you tried hiding the note after adding the lyric, and that's how you accidentally made the lyric invisible too. Next time make the note invisible before adding the lyric. In 4.1, making the note invisible won't affect the lyric either way.
