Work lost.
I created a drumline cadence for my school and I lost all of my work this morning. I swear on everything that i pressed save but I guess it didn't register. I'm really agitated as I have to get this to the school by 2 weeks and I need it back. I have uploaded it many times to musescore to hear it and share it. However, I uploaded the snare part because I didn't know how to isolate the parts on the website. I need the full score. I really need help on ways to fix this. (Not sure what category this goes under.)

Create backup files - many - on a direct drive PLUS a cloud service PLUS a USB stick
Save the files under new names with a timestamp (e.g SnazzyDrums_20230614_0106.mscz)

Every time you edit a MuseScore file it is vulnerable to problems and if you don't have a backup then the new, problematic file overwrites the previously-saved file (unless you save under a different filename).
If you are sure you pressed save, then presumably you entered a filename into the save dialog. What was that filename? And what folder was the dialog showing when you entered that filename? Just go to that same folder and you'll find that file there with the exact name you gave it.
