I am writing a cello concerto now (lol I write a whole lot of concertos) and It is playing random tenor and treble clef notes staccato.

I can't hear that so it might depend on the soundfont you are using. Where in the piece does it happen most, which instrument so that others can focus in and see what might be going on?

OS: Ubuntu 22.04.2 LTS, Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 4.0.2-230651545, revision: dbe7c6d Using MS Basic sounds.

Can confirm, the B flat in that quarter note triplet is played too short. There is no invisible staccato mark. Pushing the note to an octave above or below will produce the correct playback. Also pushing the note to something other than that B flat will get the correct playback. You score just doesn't like that B flat for some reason.
