MuseScore 4.1 Problem with saving
The latest version of MuseScore will not let me save a file. When trying to save I receive the message "The system cannot file the file specified". Can anyone help?

I've never seen this error message. Do you have a screenshot? Also, what is the default directory for your saved scores and are you trying to save scores to a different location?

I am trying to save to the folder where the documents are currently located. I'm unable to attach a screenshot but the dialog box says "The system cannot find the file specified". I am at a complete loss. I've tried everything I can think of to solve the problem including uninstalling and reinstalling MuseScore 4.1.

I've been having a similar issue, MuseScore just refuses to sae my scores. I am afraid to shut down my computer as MuseScore will likely not remember what I have done.

Try to use "Save As" and use an accessible folder.
Sometimes MuseScore suggests the installation folder, where you can only save with admin privileges and should not do it there. [Experience with version 3.6.2]

Look under Edit > Preferences > General > Folders which directory is used for storing your scores and change it if needed.

Why are you unable to attach a screenshot ?
It's the same problem as here: https://musescore.org/en/node/351489.
It was fixed in version 4.02, and now the bug is back.
None of the suggestions have fixed the problem. Hopefully MuseScore will fix it soon if they can. I finally just gave up and reinstalled MuseScore 3, which is working fine.
Now it's version 4.1.1 and still doesn't save.
