Sometimes I wish there were a possibility for footnotes or even better endnotes. Sometimes in transcribing alterations need to be made that exceed the usual tricks (brackets for added accidentals correct errors) or dashed lines (for slurs etc) or small print (dynamics). When for example a 4/4 bar as written in the source adds up to five crotchets one needs to make a judgement call on how to correct the error and a note would be useful to account for one's reasoning.

How about a text frame?
