playback
With the newest version of musescore I can not play a section of what I have written but I must start from the beginning.
How can I start at the part I want to check?
2- I exported a piece as a soundfile and I can get only the first half. The rest is silent.

What measure do you wish to start playback from?

It will not start ANYWHERE except at the beginning

We can't play, a PDF, so share the score itself, the MSCZ

Hmm...
Plays fine for me starting from any measure or note.
(Windows 10, MuseScore 4.1.1, MS Basic sounds)
Have you tried Help > Revert to factory settings?

This is new informaiton
I will look for factory settings. Have not seen it yet but ouhave.
My second problem is that when I recorded the mcsz exported as an mp3, the first half recorded and the second half was blank.
I tried to add the mp3 as a file but it will not move.

As mentioned above, the "Revert to factory settings" command you want is in the "Help" menu.
