Allow lower instruments that use treble clef to automaticly transpose

• Aug 3, 2023 - 09:03

I'm looking for a feature that can automatically transpose instruments, like the baritone saxophone, which use the treble clef but sound one octave lower. So, while the notes are written in treble clef, they should sound one octave lower when played.

Example 1 is Fur Elise for baritone sax when you listen to it, you can hear it is one octave lower.

Example 2 is a song I am trying to write in MuseScore, and I am getting 3 different clefs, when all saxophones read the same.

So you'd want an instrument definition for "Tenor Saxophone (Treble clef)" and "Baritone Saxophone (Treble clef)"?
You could hand-cobble these in a template, "Saxophone Quartet (Treble clef)".

Or simply toggle the concert-pitch button when using the regular "Saxophone Quartet" template?
