I lost all old Musescore files
I factory reset my laptop completely and now I cannot find files anywhere. I've checked the Backup files and the whole .mscz thing and nothing. Please help

By "factory reset completely", do you mean you deleted all your files and reformatted the hard drive?

There is an option to save files.
I believe that is the idea of factory reset... To erase all signs of use and to act as a brand new laptop. Did you save any scores in a cloud or on Musescore.com?

Well, that's the difference between MuseScore's factory reset and a full operating system factory reset
