note imput mode button ( pencil icon) on Musescore disappeared
Hi,
I just recently downloaded Musescore 4.1 on Ubuntu 20.04 OS. Somehow the Note imput mode (formerly a N, now a pencil icon) just disappeared from the tool bar.
I can manually reactivate the note imput mode by going to ADD/NOTES/Note input , but pencil icon doesn't reappear on my tool bar next to the different note values.
Thanks for any suggestions

Try Help > Revert to factory settings

You don’t need a complete reset, just make it visible via the gear icon next to the note input panel (see bottom right of the screen shot):

BTW, the simple way to toggle note input is to press "N" on your keyboard - no need for an icon or a menu. But you can add it back via the settings icon as shown previously
