Inserting Tempo and Beaming
How do I insert quarter notes = 60 in my score? I know I can change the value once I put the tempo marking in but I can't seem to do it with drag and drop.
Also I have four sixteenth notes that I need to beam in pairs of two. How do I do that?

1 Select the measure, note or rest and Just click the glyph 'quarter = 80'. Don't drag.
2 Select the third sixteenth. Go to Palettes > Beam properties. Click second glyph 'Break beam left'.
In menu Edit > Preferences > Shortcuts you can assign a shortcut to this function.
