Unable to save in alternate file formats

Ubuntu user here. MuseScore works great for the most part. However, MuseScore will not save in other file formats (I've tried .mid and .wav primarily). File > Save As works fine, everything works fine. However, when you click "OK" the window disappears without actually saving anything (other than the standard .mscz).

Thought I had 0.9.5 but I did have 0.9.4. Thanks for the timely reply.

EDIT:

0.9.5 doesn't seem to be in Synaptic yet--gonna look around and see if I can find it. Will edit again.
