Newly installed MS 4.1.1 closes immediately after start
The flash screen is visible for a split second, then it vanishes; and there is no process in the task manager starting with m and looking somewhat like musescore. As said in the subject, this is a fresh install - I have not changed anything (and could not change anything :-( ...).
Also clicking on a .mscz file (from an older MS3 version) exhibits the same behaviour.
Any place I should look specifically to solve this?

Problem solved (but maybe someone else stumbles over the same roadblock): Reaper 7.02 was running, with ASIO4All as sound device. After closing Reaper, MuseScore 4.1.1 started. Interestingly, then starting Reaper worked, and playback in Reaper is fine; but playback in MuseScore is simply blocking. It seems MuseScore is missing a feature to explain to the user (on startup or later when trying to play) that it cannot access some sound device.

Try turning off "Exclusive mode" in the advanced tab of the audio device.
