Warning: Windows 11 Update hangs 3.7 ?

• Nov 18, 2023 - 17:53

I just applied the latest Windows 11 Updates, and v3.7 (64-bit) 3.7.0.6901450717 failed to open, even though the exe appeared in Task Manager. I uninstalled KB5032007, reboot, now it's fine. I'm under deadline pressure right now, but will supply more details as soon as I can.

Thanks for the quick feedback! So it's strange then, I reboot several times, terminated other apps, NG until I rolled back that update. It's a Microsoft Surface Book 3, BTW. I'll do more testing starting tomorrow.

KB5032007 is the latest patch for .NET 3.5 and 4.8.1
I have installed that too and 3.7, at least my self-built version, works just fine
And the latest download does too

Today the laptop insisted on a reboot, which I allowed. Apparently the only thing it wanted was KB5032007. Surprise - no problem now.
Sorry for the false alarm, I have no idea what was going on. This post may now be deleted.
