Key signature problem

• Nov 22, 2023 - 14:34

I downloaded "Bring Me Sunshine" from MuseScore then changed instruments for a brass quintet.
When I unclick concert pitch the notes move correctly but the concert pitch key signatures remain from line 2 onwards in the score (but not in the parts). I can correct the key signatures by closing and reopening the file but the problem comes back when I click and unclick concert pitch again

I am afraid that you have done something fundamentally wrong:
Your example should show the same key signature for all instruments in concert pitch view! It does not!

You have a score and want to assign different instruments to the existing staves. Make it simple: right-click on the staff, select "Staff/Part properties" and assign a new instrument. You do not have to switch to "concert pitch" or back. Musescore automatically sets the correct key signature for the transposing instruments.

If the problem persists, please also enclose the original score and let us know which existing instrument shall be replaced by which new instrument.

In concert pitch view my file shows all instruments in the key of B flat (2 flats)
Earlier this year it was indeed necessary to select concert pitch view before changing transposing instruments. Marc Sabatella wrote on Mar 30 2023 that this is a bug in MuseScore 4 that is fixed for a coming update.
Attached as requested is the original file I downloaded from MuseScore

It does for me, in 4.1.1, which IIRC you're not using? But only for the 1st system
It does indeed not in 3.7, no idea what's going on there, but I guess it has to do with the toogle contect pitch and the wrong keysigs after that on all but the 1st system
