Enhanced vertical of staff text, like notenames.

I am looking for control of the vertical placement of my note names over my notes and chords.
I observe that the notenames plugin sometimes produce text stacked much higher than practical for efficient use of paper, like:

                        C#,A
                  C#,A
            C#,A
      C#,A
C#,A

instead of something like

     C#,A    C#,A
C#,A    C#,A    C#,A

Have I missed a possibility to configure things better?
Otherwise this may be a valid feature request.

I am using Musescore3 by the way.
