DC to Skip 1st Measure

My score has 29 measures with two lots of repeats. I also have a DC to repeat from the beginning. What I would like to know...is there a way to have the DC "Da Capo" skip the very first measure and start from the second or do I need to use another form of repeat to do this and still have the other repeats play as they should

Use D.S. instead and place a Segno sign at the 2nd measure.
If the repeats should also be played after the D.S. jump, set "play repeats" in the D.S. properties.
