Fermata use

When I place a fermata over the soprano part, do I need to place one over the alto, tenor, and bass parts as well?

Standard notational practice is to put a fermata sign over any note (or rest), in any part, which might be extended because of it. So: if there are four quarter-notes in the soprano line--the last of which has a fermata--and a whole-note in the bass, you need to put a fermata over the whole-note, even though it is written, and sounds, at the beginning of the measure.

(As far as playback goes, MuseScore will sort this all out for you.)
