Muse Hub broken after initial launch (Mac)

• Jan 25, 2024 - 08:16

Hello,

I'm using a very new MacBook Pro running macOS Sonoma 14.1. I've just installed Muse Hub and launched MuseScore 4 for the first time. After launching, I read that I need to use Muse Hub to install new sounds. However, Muse Hub is now seemingly broken. The launch window is no longer present (since launching MuseScore), and clicking the application to re-launch it does nothing. Interestingly, it doesn't appear in any activity monitor, including the force quit menu. Despite this, attempting to delete the application (even after quitting MuseScore) generates a Finder error saying that it cannot be moved to the trash because it's open. I cannot figure out how to get back to the initial Muse Hub menu.

It looks like others have had this issue in the past, but I've seen no consistent recommendation for a fix online. Any help would be appreciated.

Not sure if this is unethical or whatever but I just wanted to bump this post... I still can't access Muse Hub at all. I'd love to be able to use MuseScore properly again!
