Parts Issue

In my recent concert band arrangement of Vince Guaraldi's 'Linus and Lucy', I have a piano part but when I create the parts from the score, the 'piano' part (although named piano) is a single line clarinet part. The actual piano part isn't created. Can anyone help?

Have you read this part of the Handbook. https://musescore.org/en/handbook/4/parts

If not, I recommend that you do so.

In Musescore 4 you don't add instruments to a part, instead you reveal them. All instruments are present in a default part or in a newly created part. However, which instruments are shown in the part is controlled by opening and closing the "eyes". in the Instruments panel - if you don't see the instruments panel you can toggle it into view with function key F7.

Hi, SteveBlower!
Thanks for answering, however, I'm further into the problem than that. (I know about revealing etc). The Piano is in the score, but when I create parts, it comes out as an Alto sax part with 'Piano' as the part name. I've tried getting an older copy of the mscz file , making a piano par from that, but... to do so, I have to delete all parts and create new ones, which would involve hours of engraving work all over again. I think what I need to do is publish the (older but accurate) piano part separately. But the problem remains... wierd.
