Bad Playback
I have started a transcription of the Scottish Symphony but I am having playback issues. Depending on what staff I click in measure 1 I get different instruments included in the playback including complete silence. I can click on a measure somewhat into the score and then start playback and hit the rewind to play from measure 1 but get varying responses. In general I am noticing dead zones where I hear nothing or in some cases different instruments included that drop in and out but never sure I am hearing all the instruments consistently. Nothing unusual about how this score was created from what I normally do. Just enter notes. No special settings. Not sure why playback is buggered up.

On my system, I don't think I heard the inconsistent playback you mention. It's hard to tell because the Basic sound instruments are so loud, I couldn't hear anything else. When I changed them to Muse sounds, things were better. Does the score you are working from really call for solo string parts? Plus it also has no dynamic markings at the end of a hairpin, I'm sure. However MU4 won't play hairpins without them.
