Strange shortcuts

• Feb 11, 2024 - 17:16

I just started using MuseScore, after using Flat for a long while, where Shift+Left and Shift+Right would add or remove notes to the selection. In MuseScore, though, it instead shifts the selected note to the right, shoving it in between the next note and the note after that. What's weird is that for a brief few seconds it actually did do what it did on Flat, and just like that it started shifting it to the right again. In the Shortcuts menu, it says that shift+Right adds to the selection, so why is it doing this instead? Thanks for listening, lol. I can't stand not having my usual shortcuts.

Update: Figured it out. There are two shortcuts that were different things for the same input. Seems weird, since I hadn't messed with the shortcuts at all.

Yes, I see that there are two sets of shortcuts.
SHIFT + right arrow is supposed to add to the selection if a note is first selected. This works on my system.
SHIFT + right arrow is supposed to move a chord/rest to the right. This does not work this way. It adds to the selection.
