Crash when importing ABC
I'm using the latest version of MuseScore 4 (4.1.24.....) that I just downloaded in the hope that it would cure a bug I have been plagued with - but it doesn't.
Whenever I try to import an ABC file using Pugins->ABC import, it crashes straight away (before choosing a file) with an error indicating an attempt to write without authority - but I haven't changed any settings.
I've included a crash file but not sure it has enough info.
Anyone get import ABC to work? - If so, any tips?
p.s. I still use MuseScore 3 because of this problem - import works fine.
p.p.s - I use a Mac Mini on 14.3.1 of the OS

I just started MuseScore 4.2.1 and opened Plugins>ABC Import.
MuseScore silently crashed.

Hi Jojo,
ABC converter.
We do seem to have gone from having a brilliant and reliable tool to easily wasting half an hour regularly trying to read through forum and other places to still not get a working tool.
I have never coded and never will. I see "compile this programme" or that and get worried I'll have thieves inside my computer and in any case the processes is usually documented 8 years ago and quite complex for an ignoramus. Never works successfully.
Happy to help but what can we users do to get ABC into Musescore?

Wait for a) MuseScore 4's plugin API to get update (there's a PR, just still not merged) and b) the plugin code to get (slightly) updated
