Notes jumping to wrong octave
I'm having a recurring issue when I'm entering a note, sometimes only a staff line or two away, and the entry goes to the octave up or down. I'm well aware of the interval, an I see no reason for it. Am I missing something, or doing something wrong?

It sounds like bug, but it is hard to tell more.
It would be great, if You could find exactly reproductible steps (or at least post a video when it happens).

Unfortunately, I don’t see how, unless I just record my screen and edit out the boring parts. It happens on different notes, so even that isn’t a clue. Is there any way I’m hitting some other key by accident, that would cause an octave (or two) jump?
I should mention I’m using MS4.2, on Mac OS 13.6

I have observed the same thing. As far as I have been able to see, it happens only on the first note of a measure. I've never seen it happen elsewhere in the measure. It happens more often after I have changed clefs on a given stave, but not exclusively so. It happens when I am entering notes from my computer keyboard. (Since that's the ONLY way I enter notes, that's not actually much help, but ...)

That's interesting. I'll have to keep an eye on it, and see if its the same here. But it's nice to know I'm not alone!
