Musescore reads measures as a different time signature than what's written causing the score to become corrupted.
Some of the songs I make have some crazy rhythms but musescore for some reason think it's the wrong time signature. When this happens the score becomes corrupted which doesn't allow me to upload the song and it makes the software really slow and glitchy and it causes it to crash unexpectedly. There has been times when none of it saves and then there goes like 3 hours of my life right down the drain. It's really frustrating! Please help!

I'm assuming you have the latest version (4.2.1) of Musescore installed
1. To fix this kind of corruption you need to remove Excerpts folder inside mscz archive (mscz files are zip archives and you can open and modify it using zip archive tools)
This will remove all parts. If you made changes in parts, they will be lost.
2. This kind of issues is hard to catch. If this happens to you regularly, could you provide the exact steps on how this can be reproduced?
3. If you provide the file, perhaps someone will be so kind as to fix it for you

You can’t produce what happens. MuseScore just decides it doesn’t like a certain rhythm and tries to tell me that it’s in the wrong time signature. Only then does it become corrupted and starts to crash. Idk why it happens but it’s annoying

In most cases (except for pdf import or musicxml import), when Musescore shows you a score corruption message, it only means Musescore is misbehaving.
You can do anything that Musescore allows you to do. If your interaction with Musescore results in score corruption, it is Musescore's fault, not yours.
Based on "Incomplete measure" messages, corruption exists only in parts, which may indicate some sync problem.
To fix scores, we need a musescore file.
To prevent this situation from happening again in new versions of Musescore, we need to reproduce this broken state from scratch. And based on this information, we can create an issue for Musescore developers.
