inserting pickup notes
My music is in 3/4 I want a pick up of two quavers (one beat) to replace the crotchet rest which the program has produced. How do I get my two quavers pick up ?

Exactly the same as when entering all notes.
Select the crotchet rest, press N (for note entry), press 4 for quavers and enter the notes.
I agree that it would be nice to just be able to enter a pickup note, even in a whole measure rest, without having to prep the measure. Sibelius can do this. So much quicker. I have suggested this and get the same response.

I understood that he already has a measure with only a quarter rest. So he simply has to enter the two eighth notes.
If not, yes, then the bar (measure) duration must first be changed to "Actual=1/4".
