Won't Play; No Sound

I apologise for this post; I have actually searched for solutions and followed suggestions to no avail.

When I select 'Play', the play cursor (vertical line) appears but doesn't move, and there is no sound. I also tried MuseScore's piano keyboard, but it doesn't produce sound either (and I'm assuming that it should).

MuseScore doesn't appear in Windows Volume Mixer.

My system: MuseScore 4.3.2.241630831, Windows 11, 32 GB, Sound Blaster AE5.

Things I've tried:

• all other apps (including Notion) can produce sound
• multiple downloaded .mcsz, .midi and directly-entered notes
• restarted computer
• reset MuseScore settings to default
• changed to "MuseScore Basic" profile
• checked that Windows sound 'exclusive' mode is off

Diagnostic files are herewith. At a quick glance, there seems to be some significant clues in there, but not enough for me to work out the root cause.
