MuseScore 4 has problems on my computer
I thought I had nothing to lose by upgrading because MuseScore 4.2 wasn’t working well, so I downloaded 4.4 beta, but, though it appeared to open, it immediately shut down. So I downloaded MuseHub, I didn’t realize this seems to be a container to buy lots of plugins and MuseScore no longer appeared anywhere but you have to open it from within Hub. In fact it opened 4.4 beta testing even though it was in the trash. I’ve tried to open 4.3.2 which appears in Hub, but nothing happens. I’ve tried downloading 4.3.2 several times, but it keeps downloading MuseHub.
I was quite happy with MuseScore 3, but I got a replacement computer with a 2020 operating system on it (which was put there by my tech guru. It needed some tweaking to run on a 2008 computer) and MuseScore 3 needed to be upgraded. MuseScore 4.2 seemed to work at first, but I can’t open the mixer and many times the pallet names are nothing more than one letter.
Is there any way I could go back to the earliest possible version that will be compatible with Mac OS Monterey (12.7.3)? Perhaps 4.1 or something?

All older versions are still available, some via https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/releases (all since 3.0.1), some via https://musescore.org/en/download#Older-and-unsupported-versions (back to 1.1)
