The sunset of Finale has just been announced:

I suspect that many current and prospective users will be switching to MuseScore. Prepare for an avalanche of questions!

But for the time being, it's first a very good deal for Dorico... Just think: you can have the Dorico Pro 5 version for 149USD, instead of 579USD. This is an extraordinary and unique opportunity.

I myself have an older version of Finale (2012), when I was looking for a music notation software that suited my needs (it turned out to be MuseScore...), I'm entitled to this offer, 179USD with Sales Tax. I'm wondering...

Even if Musescore will remain my favorite software, I'd be tempted to try it out, mainly out of curiosity and to be able to evaluate the difference in approach between the two programs.
