Poor tremolo rendering in 4.4
I have a score that uses tremolo on the tympani part to indicate a roll. This sounds great when I originally used version 4.3. I tried the new version and now the part sounds like someone is banging out straight 32 notes. I get the same poor quality on tremolos used on string parts. I reverted back to 4.3 and now the tremolo parts are rendered as expected.

Well, I don't know why, but 4.4 is a downgrade... Hopefully 4.4.1 might fix all this mess.
How does this sound on your system. It's OK on mine.

I rolled back to 4.3 so I can't play the file. Let me try installing 4.4 in a VM.

I installed 4.4 in a Windows 10 VM.I created a simple score and I think the tremolo sounded ok. Then I tried loading my score created in 4.3. The timpani part was garbage and from then on anything I created with tremolo sounded awful. If you slow your temp down, do you still get a decent timp roll? I do in 4.3 but not 4.4
Update: I started MuseHub which automatically updated my desktop. I was able to play your sample and it sounded right. Even my score now sounds right. But now MuseHub is running if that makes a difference. Regardless, there are other issues with 4.4 that make it a no-go for me right now.
