cross staff notiation
I'm trying to move a single note from a chord from treble to bass staff in a piano score. I find this on the site "Press Ctrl+Shift+↓/↑ (Mac: Cmd+Shift+↓/↑), to move the voice up or down to the other staff" I try to move the single note and it moves the whole chord. So everything that is vertical in that beat moves. How do I move the one note?
So when I couldn't get that to work I tried to erase the note and then insert it, in this case it will be on ledger lines.....but it won't let me. It only shows the ledger notes of the treble clef. I would thing maybe this is related to a split point but I can't find a place to set the split point.

You would need to put the note you want to move into a separate voice. See https://musescore.org/en/handbook/4/working-multiple-voices
If you want it to look like it is attached to a beam in the other stave then you need to extend the stem and, if it has a flag, make that invisible as described here https://musescore.org/en/node/8717

I looked at this but only see instruction for exploding an entire chord into multiple staves. I just want to move one note at a time from bass clef to treble clef or the other way around.

Delete the note from where it currently is and rewrite it where you want it to be.

Yes I had already tried this but it was on a ledger line that the program would not allow. (not that high either. An F) Other scores I did not run into this problem. I thought maybe there was a split point involved in this secondary problem but I don’t see a split point anywhere. I ended up writing it lower and then used the arrow key to move it north.
