Multimeasure rests for specific measures
In my previous notation program, I could simply select a range of empty measures and convert them to a multimeasure rest. Very easy. However, in MuseScore 4, I don't see a way to easily do this. Disabling multimeasure rests in Format/Style/Rests enables and disables them for the whole score. Setting a minimum number of rests to be converted to multimeasure doesn't seem to do what I want, either.
Is there a way to achieve this functionality?
Thanks,

"Disabling multimeasure rests in Format/Style/Rests enables and disables them for the whole score."
This has always been the case, whatever the version of MuseScore.
" "In my previous notation program, I could simply select a range of empty measures and convert them to a multimeasure rest."
Hmm, I'd like to see that. Attach a score showing it. And which version was it? Version 3 or another?

I suppose there's something (in the score of the moment) that's preventing you from doing so in one way or another. Ditto, attach this score.
Yes, Musescore 3.x has a field in which you can specify the number of measures from which "Multimeasure" is active.
I do not know whether it is still present in Musescore 4.

Please, the OP says it uses MuseScore 4 ("However, in MuseScore 4, I don't see a way to easily do this"), but in this version, it's not in the same place as in V3:
It's now in Format / Style / Rests (and not Score). - image below:
And, what's more, the OP had already found it for himself: "Disabling multimeasure rests in Format/Style/Rests enables and disables them for the whole score."
