Changing MIDI input causes MuseScore Studio to not respond/ crash

Windows 11, Musescore 4.4.2. Trying to get my MIDI keyboard recognized for input. Went in to Edit->Preferences->Audio & MIDI and tried to select my MIDI keyboard, but when I do MuseScore locks up and stops responding. I have to end the task in Task Manager in order to get it to close. Happens with any MIDI input device I choose. Is there a setting I'm missing, or is this a bug?

Make sure the device is plugged into your computer and turned on before starting MuseScore.

Made sure to do both. My keyboard is recognized by other music software like Sibelius and my DAWs just fine.
