Ties can't be drawn where there is Time Signature between two notes

MuseScore 4.4.3, MacOS Sequoia 15.1. Normally, ties can be drawn between two notes of the same pitch. It seems, however, ties can't be drawn if there is an physical obstacle (a music symbol) between those notes. To me, this happened two notes were separated by a bar line and where Time Signature changed from 4/4 to 2/4. It seems, when the two notes are high or low enough so that the tie line can be drawn without touching the time signature 2/4, those tie lines can be drawn. It may be that, if the positions of the two notes is such that the tie line will cross (or touch) the time signature, such tie lines can't be drawn. Please see the file attached. Between Bars 22 and 23. Tenor and Bass ties can't be drawn. The same is in right hand score for the piano. Tie lines are drawn for the top not and the bottom notes, bit no ties can be drawn for noes in-between. In another music score app (ScoreMaker), it seems ties can be drawn in such cases, either by placing the tie lines over the 2/4 symbol, or break tie lines before and after the 2/4 symbol. The latter can be a solution in this particular case, because, the bar line happens to be just at the system break.
