In 4.5.2, how can I add or edit lyrics for Claves, Wood Blocks or Hand Clap? This worked previously.
Several of my songs ask singers to speak rhythmically as well as sing. In the past, I've notated this in Musescore with 3 parts - Violin for the singing line, Woodblocks for one speaking line, and Hand Clap for a straight rhythm line. Musescore 4.5.2 playback gives me the rhythmic effect I want, albeit without actual words, while the printed notation shows the lyrics. See attached sample.
These songs were all created in 2020 and edited heavily in 3.x and earlier 4.x revisions. I don't think I tried editing the lyrics in 4.4.
But in 4.5.2 I can't edit the existing lyrics for Wood Blocks, and I can't add new lyrics. What should I do?

On Linux it seems to work regularly, even with copy/paste (https://musescore.org/en/node/21522 ).

Hi, Shoichi - Thanks! As a general rule, if it works for someone else in the same revision, that means it is a feature and I'm doing something wrong. So after reading your comment, I tried again, slowly and carefully, and I was able to add, edit, and remove lyrics from Wood Blocks successfully.
What has happened to me for a long time with lyrics is that I sometimes accidentally hit a keystroke combination that jumps me into note-edit mode; I think this happened to me with the new Percussion UI as well.
Thanks again, all is well.

Which specific action/command work for you when lyrics are attached to violin and does not work when lyrics are attached to wood blocks?

Hi, frfancha - Thanks! In trying to answer your question, I figured out that this is user error. Relief!
My specific problem was trying to enter characters into the lyrics box beneath the Wood Block note. I'd select the note, then select Add > Text > Lyrics, then try to type in the lyric box (unsuccessfully). Or I'd select the existing lyric, then try to edit it (unsuccessfully). What happened was that I'd be able to enter one character in the box, or none, and then I'd get popped into Percussion note entry mode.
I'm used to this kind of behavior with non-percussion instruments (including voices) -- I often accidentally hit keystroke combinations that pop me into note editing mode.
