Best choral voices for Musescore

• May 10, 2025 - 15:50

I've been away from Musescore for about a year, but see that the problem with very low volume on the Muse Sounds choral voices has been fixed. I'm still looking for a better sound, though. Has anyone direct experience with either of the choral voice plugins offered on Muse Hub: "Chorus" (by Audio Imperia) or "VOXOS Epic Choirs"? What about the ACE Studio singing voice generator, which also claims to support choir voices?

Or anything else you've succeeded in getting working well?

The gold standard would, of course, be something that produces great choral vocals that enunciate the associated lyrics, but I know that may be a ways off yet. So what have you found meanwhile?

There are some choir fonts on Soundfonts4U. There may be some on the Polyphone site. I have no experience with the HUB fonts. Did you read the reviews? They seem to be mixed. It isn't always what you use, but how you use it.
Then again great sound is in the ear of the beholder. I found a way to use the Muse choirs regardless of volume. Though I wouldn't pretend to be an expert at anything.
A good musician can pick up low quality instrument and make beautiful music. I could pick up a great instrument and still sound like trash.
