4 even notes in 3 beats of 6/8 time signature
How can i add 4 even notes in 3 beats in a 6/8 time signature? I selected a 1/4 +1/8 note (3 beats ) then selected quadruplet under tuplet. it simply changes 2 beats into four 16th notes. That is essentially nothing changed. I then selected tuplets>other. i entered 4/3 in the 'Type' box. This created an error message 'cannot create tuplet with ratio 4/3 for duration 1/8'.

Select a dotted quarter note or rest and press CTRL+4.
See https://handbook.musescore.org/notation/rhythm-meter-and-measures/tuple…
The rule is: First, select a note or rest with the total duration of the tuplet. Then create your tuplet - a simple one by using CTRL+N where N is the number of notes you want to be played within the tuplet; a more complex one using the tuplet tool from the menu.

The key part of that being "Select a single note or rest with the total duration of the tuplet."

Thank You. Select a 'single note'!
