beaming triplets?
im pretty new to this, so forgive me if the answer is obvious. okay, so i have two eight notes, and i turn them into triplets. so six triplets, but is there a way to beam them together? so like, 3 triplets and 3 triplets with another beam under them so that they're all joined together?

Yes, thats possible. You will also want to change the tuplet properties to alway show a bracket (which is omitted by default for beamed tuplets).

yes, but how would you actually beam two sets of triplets together so that there are six notes with a large beam, and two subbeams with [bracket 3] under each?

Please look at http://www.musescore.org/en/handbook/beam.
Beaming tuplets was implemented in august so you need one of the current prereleases.
