As soon as I open Muse score it quits. I downloaded Muse score a couple days ago, so I assume it's the newest version. The demo opens and I can't do anything for about 5-10 seconds, then it quits. Anyone know what to do?

I recently reinstalled my operating system, Leopard 10.5.8 and now MuseScore refuses to start and has the same freeze-crash symptoms. I tried the 0.9.5 and 0.9.6 versions of MuseScore but they both don't work. Any fixes?

Have you tried a prerelease yet? Have you tried turning voice commands off, and restarting?

Please understand that bug hunting is a little hit and miss until others are able to reproduce the problem. The goal is to work out what might be different about your computer than the computers of others that are not having the same problem.

Hi! If you are serious, and have not heard of Linux, I suggest that you might take a look at Ubuntu Studio. The operating system is free of charge (and always will be) and comes with a multitude of multimedia software again, all free of charge. Updates are free and regular and you can dual boot, so that you can run 2 or more operating systems on the same machine. Unfortunately, this particular flavour of Linux does not have a 'live' CD which you can run from, so it has to be installed - this, I believe is due to the real-time kernel that it uses.

I suggest that you take a look at http://ubuntustudio.org and see for yourself. As I said, you can download it, burn it to disc and install it from there free of charge.

Enjoy!
