1.18 to 1.3 backward compatibility
The attached Musescore 1.18 file fails to open in Musescore 1.3.
Also the dialog says the software needs to be upgraded while this is actually a backward compatability issue (metadata shows the file was last edited with 1.18).

18 is definitely greater than 3 ;)
In detail, the 1.18 you see in the score file is the version number of the file format. The file format in MuseScore 1.3 was 1.14 (see http://musescore.org/en/developers-handbook/version-information).
1.18 is the file format of an intermediary development version after the release of 1.3. Development version are not supported, and it's said everywhere that they shouldn't be use to produce scores... You can eventually try to open the file in MuseScore 2.0 beta1 or a recent development version.
I close this issue.
My bad, since the file was so old, I assumed the version was older and parsed it as 1.1.8 ;)
I will just wait for MuseScore 2.0 to finally release then !
