no effect in "creating instruments"

i noticed that adjusting the instruments in the 'create instruments'-box doesnt have any effect: I tried to change both the pitchnumbers, but after clicking OK, the old values are put back. Same for the other options, like name etc. Where does that information go, when changed?
I tried this: first i create a pianopart. Then i added ("creating instruments") a voice-part, making a few adjustments in the editbox, but: the name of the new part is "piano", whatever name i keep giving it (i asked for voice!), and the pitchnumbers won't change.

Create > Instruments dialog has an "Edit" button. This is not implemented yet. You can edit the staff names directly on the score (via double click) and further properties by right-clicking on an empty part of the staff and choosing "Staff Properties..."

go to instruments, add a new part, the "edit"-button isnt grey anymore, and seems editable, but really isnt, because it's not implemented yet. Quite confusing.
i already found the more direct ways to edit as mentioned above, they're good and usable. Did you know that the "apply" button doesnt work there?
Thanks!
