Is there an alignment feature for items in frames?
Suppose I drag two fretboard diagram images into a frame above the staff and stack one on top of the other. Is there any way that I can select them both and align them horizontally over each other (such as you might do with elements in photoshop) ?

Is there a reaosn you are using a frame rather than dragging them directly to the notes? They would automatically be aligned if you did that. Then you'd just use the Inspector or the cursor keys to raise one above the other vertically.
But you can also use the Inspector to align things within a frme. As long as they have the same horizontal offset, they will be aligned.
if that doesn't solve your problem, pelase post the specific score you are having problems with.
