Musescore crashes when I try to give a new short name to an instrument (Cors) on mac OS X Maverick.

Which version of MuseScore? If 1.3: try downgrading to 1.2, or upgrade to 2.0 Beta 2 or a later nightly build.
It is a 1.x score.
Please note that 1.3 won't receive further fixes and 1.3 is having some issues with Mac Mavericks and Yosemite, downgrading to 1.2 fixed those in quite a few cases.
As there has been no response, I'm closing the issue.
