My Instruments are switched...

So I use MuseScore for a project where I need a MIDI file. I export it as a .mid file and my instruments are switched. I tried it on another file and it switched. Attached is a file that I was making for my friends around mid-December. I set it aside because of a large web design project that I had to do. I exported it as a .mid file and opened it up in a different program. My saxes were switched with trombones and my bass turned into a bari sax. I think the vibraphone also turned into a guitar. I was using MuseScore 2.0 but I've had this occur in MuseScore 1.3 as well.

I've also opened the .mid file in MuseScore and it has the right instruments, but when I open it in anything else, it switches instruments. I even opened a random .mid file I found on the internet that had saxophones in it and MuseScore picked up on it, but the files that I export switch around the instruments to something else when I open them in other programs like:

  • Windows Media Player
    • Because I use Windows 8.1.
  • RPG Maker XP
    • My friend lets me go into his .rxproj files to correct grammatical errors.
  • NWC2 Viewer
    • My friend also was digging around the internet and told me to try it on this.
      • I end up with the saxes being okay, but everything else switched.
      • I also tried the random .mid file on this and it worked fine.
    • Synthesia
      • I like to mess around on my sister's keyboard from time to time.
      • It ends up breaking Synthesia, switching the sound on instruments around, but only affects my exported files.
