How can I add ralls/rits?
I'm working on a a new piece and I don't know how to add a ritardando with the new software. Can anyone help me?

You can enter them as system text. Won't effect playback though.
You could enter a series if tempo texts and hide all but the 1st.

Sorry for the late reply - I've been at school. I knew you could do it that way but I wasn't sure if there was any new features allowing you to add it and have it actually affect the tempo. Thanks for your help!

You can fake ritardando or rallentando with tempo markings, but a slightly better way is to add a series of invisible Fermatas (pauses) and setting the time stretch to increasing values. Fermentas have the advantage of being relative, so if you change the original tempo then you won't need to go back and change them individually to match. (Although there seems to be a bug so you may have to save, close and re-open the score for the change to take effect.)
You can find Fermatas in the Pallet (press F9) under articulations and ornamentals:

You can set the time stretch and make them invisible using the Inspector (press F8).
