change instrument in part

Can I change instrument in a part.?
Example: I am writing a part for Eb-alto. Along the road he should shift to soprano sax, and later back again. How do I handle that?? Very common i big band arrangements.

"Ability to switch instruments mid-way through a staff" is not yet possible but it is listed on the milestones page.

It should be possible to create a new instrument "Sax" (in instruments.xml) with the two articulations "soprano" and "alto". This is handled similar to "pizzicato" and "arco" for strings.

The "articulations" feature changes only the sound, but it is not suited for this purpose because (as far as I know) it does not deal with transposition, clef, or staff names.
In this particular case, soprano and alto sax have different transpositions.
To handle this it seems that you must select the appropriate section and do a transposition, including key sigs.

...my own solution was the same. and furthermore I change the "play transposition" instructions temporarily. The most important thing is that the final part is correct.
