File corrupted
I keep trying to post my new score, but it continues to say the file is corrupt or cannot be found and Measure 51 incomplete. 4/4 expected, 1/8 found

I got a similar error message in the recent post "Changing measure duration creates corrupt score".
So far the workaround I have found is to create a new measure to replace the one that is reported as corrupted. Even then I have had to be careful to create the measure with standard time signature, if I picked up the previous measure with an actual duration different from the normal time signature, the new measure would also be corrupted.
If MuseScore is warning you that your file is corrupt, it probably is. See How to fix a score that opens with the warning "File corrupted" .

I am curious. That link doesn't appear to me to be a handbook page nor a forum post. What is it then?
FYI, the step 4 would not work for me. There were portions of the measure I couldn't seem to change.
But step 5 worked like a champ. I selected the offending blocks of measures/staffs, exchanged voice 1 and 2, and then exchanged them back. Now I was left with an unwanted voice 2, but you can select all voice 2 elements and delete them.

The last resort alternative would be yet another step, brute force: delete the corrupt measure (completely, not just empty it, using Ctrl+Del), re-insert a new measure, re-enter the notes

I agree that they're tricky to find, and probably shouldn't be. Something Thomas might think about? By the way, if Jojo's going to make sure you know that he added that Step 5, I'm certainly going to mention that I wrote the whole thing in the first place. ;-)

Thanks, I'd forgotten about the How-To's. I don't see them by navigating from the home page or sub pages....but I now have a nice bookmark.
Re: last resort. That's what I have been doing. FYI, even using Ctrl-Del doesn't always work. Sometimes I've had to re-insert a new measure, change the actual duration of the new measure from non-standard back to standard, then re-insert another new measure seeded by the 1st new measure, make my edits, then hope I did it right.
I'm glad to have a better workaround.

A measure that has zero beats in it can be particularly difficult if you can't even select it. Basically you have to paste something over it to fill it in, but you have to do it by pasting more than one measure onto the measure before.

Somehow all but the first measure(which has the correct 3/4) have (hidden) 4/4.
Can i set 3/4 for the whole score? (without having to one by one change the measure properties)

Somehow all those full measure rests have had their durations set to 4/4 instead of 3/4. Any idea how that happened? Anything unusual about how this score was created - imported from 1.3, from MusicXML, an unusual series of time signature changes you made during the course of creating the score, etc?
You can fix it by changing the time signature to 6/8 then back to 3/4.

thanks for the fix Marc, it worked.
I have no clue how it happened, i do not think i ever changed the time sig. Also i keep a guitar version which is still fine...(same issue with the footer)
I have imported them from 1.3.

Strange, all the 'corruption' is in the drums staff and there I think it is normal to not have all voices present (esp. not having voice 1 present), or am I wrong here?
Like the 4 beats bass drum in measure 29, voice 2, without any other.
Interestingly the bass drum is in in voice 1 in some other measures.
Anyway, here's a fixed version.

It might be normal for some editors to not show voice 1 complete, but MuseScore requires it anyhow, so if you wish to produce this effec,t you need to make the rests invisible. Drums are indeed a bit special in this respect.

I don't think we need more special treatment. The need to have voice 1 complete and therefore hide rests if you don't want to see them is not an unreasonable requirement.
As for what could have caused this, it would be great to know. There have of course been lots of bugs found and fixed over the years. There are some really odd looking things in this score in terms of stem directions that make me think it may have either bveen imported from MusicXML (was it?) or there may have been copy and paste between durm and other parts or something else unusual.
I also received this problem. but when i went back and count the beats it shows the exact beat that was expected there.

To be honest this is pretty hard to believe, I don't think MuseScore misscountes them. Can you share the score?
Any hints on how to fix my corrupted file. I have already uploaded it to this site but I do not know how to link to it.

The place to upload a score is you want help with MuseScore is as an attachment to a post here - see the "File attachments" link right below where you type your psot.
When you say you uploaded the score "to this site", I'm guessing you really mean, to the score sharing site musecore.com, not this support site musescore.org. Assuming so, then if you can view your score in your browser, just copy the URL of the page and we should be able to get there. But attaching the file directly is better.
