Quadruplet in 6/8 time

• Jun 1, 2015 - 13:53

I'm working on a march in 6/8 time and I have a bar with a crotchet and quaver first beat and I want to notate the second beat of this bar as a quaver quadruplet, but it won't let me do it. When I press ctl+4 at the second beat of the bar it presents me with a semiquaver quadruplet and a quaver rest. So the question is how do I notate a quaver quadruplet over one beat in a 6/8 bar please?

Thanks

select a dotted crotchet as the length, then Ctrl+4

Or do you want 4 quavers in the place of 2 quavers (one crotchet)?
Then select a crotched as the length, and go to the menu for a custom tuplet , enter 4/2 as the relation, then enter quavers
