Swedish translation challanges

• Jul 3, 2010 - 13:09

Hi!

My name is Magnus Böckert, I am a system developer and freelance musician. I have just recently discovered MuseScore and I am delighted. However, I am not happy with the translation that is incomplete.

I would therefore like to complete the translation of the Swedish version. However, I have found some linguistic challenges. Can anybody try to sort out the difference between 'stave' and 'staff' and how these concepts differ in MuseScore? In Swedish we have only a concept I think: 'notplan' alternative '(not) system' with the same meaning.

Regards,
Magnus B

I think "Stave" does not exist. A staff is normally the 5 lines. If there are several "staff", correct english is "Staves". One staff, two staves.
